It was a DVR night. Watched Dream Wife with Trudi and Shae. Two words - insipid; dumb. Disappointing, too, since it stars Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr (three years before they did An Affair to Remember.
Then watched a couple episodes of Jon and Kate Plus 8. (Kate needs to watch herself on TV sometime so she can see what a nag she is.)
This followed an late afternoon with Sam, Shae, and Dalton at the movies watching I am Legend. Well made, but highly unenjoyable for me. Too much tension. (PG-13 because of the violence and horror genre.)

Way to go, Idaho!
That - among many - is one of my favorite lines from the movie Toy Story. We finally purchased the DVD and gathered to watch it as a family a few days ago. It would rank high on my all-time favorite list. We're gradually trying to get all the DVD's of our favorite movies that we have the VHS copies of.

Mr. Bean's Big Adventure
Trudi and I saw the new Mr. Bean movie the other night. Pee-Wee Herman is Mr. Bean's American cousin. Stupidly funny.

A Bottle of Dumb
The reviewer in our newspaper said that "Pirates of the Carribbean 3" was "yo-ho-ho and a bottle of dumb." Very accurate. Sam was going to meet some other kids from the youth group to see it, but the whole family ended up going.
Shae is a huge fan. Unfortunately, this was a very long, very confusing mess of a movie.
But if you go - stay until the bitter end...AFTER the credits. It's not over until it's over.
Shae (16) leaves tomorrow with a group from the church for 8 days in El Salvador on a missions trip.
